Internet Marketing Wasn’t This Easy Years Ago

June 23rd, 2009 | admin | General

I’ve been working online for almost 7 years at this time, and let me tell you - things are SO much easier today than they were back then…

There’s basically a way to automate everything these days. Newer marketers are very lucky people. :) And they probably don’t even know how “easy” they have it.

I could give you many examples of Internet Marketing being easier now than it was then, but here’s just one for now…

You used to have to manually hunt down people who were searching for your product or service in order to get your website in front of them so they could buy. You could spend hours each day just finding prospects.

Then you had to contact them manually to boot! Another very time-consuming task.

But now there’s software available that will automatically do the search for you and give you the results in less than a minute.

Talk about a time-saver!

And it gets even better…

Once you have the list of leads in front of you, you can quickly and easily email them with your offer - from inside the software!

Now, in case that sounds like “spamming” to you, I assure you it’s not. These people are actively searching for what you’re selling, and you’re simply replying to their inquiries…

Basically it’s like phoning in response to a newspaper ad where the person who placed the ad wants to buy a used dryer and you just happen to be selling one.

If you want to see just how quickly and easily such software can return leads for your business, go view the short demo video here:

Hot Leads Software

Impressed? I know I was. :)

The possiblities are endless, as you can see in the video. And even if you don’t have your own product or service to offer, you can easily make money with affiliate programs.

The best part is, you don’t actually have to sell anything. CPA (Cost Per Action, also known as Pay Per Lead) programs work great with this software.

Here’s an example…

People are constantly seeking out free ringtones for their cellphones. Simply find an affiliate offer that pays you per lead (typically about $1 per lead for this type of offer), use the software to gather leads, and then email those leads with the CPA offer.

If they sign up, which normally just requires them to enter their cell phone number to get the free ringtone, then you just made a buck per signup.

Imagine putting your offer in front of hundreds of people per day. Even if only a fraction of them sign up, you can easily make $50, $100 or more per day.

‘Nuff said? :)

Even if you don’t grab the software to help you automate your tasks, this method of  marketing is lucrative and easy enough for anyone to implement. You can do it manually, although your results won’t be as good, simply because you won’t be able to contact as many prospects each day. But you can do it, and that’s the important part. :)

    Hello Denise,
You have a good point about how things are today, that I think a lot of us forget about, including your’s truly. =D

The automation is a very good example.

Not everything is easier though. There are also some things that are harder now than before.

For one, there is a heck of a lot more competition.

You also mention email. Actually, I think that is another thing that is getting worse and not better, so we probably disagree about email marketing.

For instance, there are so many more ISP’s that use spam filters and the spam filters themselves are even more likely to flag an email as spam at the drop of a hat, more than ever before.

Many people are using blogs to communicate with their target market, instead of email.

So really, there are SOME things that have gotten better, but there are other things that have gotten worse, so it’s really about half a dozen of one and six of the other.

So I don’t think that we can just assume that things are better. When we examine the whole internet marketing process and compare it to the internet marketing process of the past, it seems to be basically just a wash. :)
